General Info About My Practice
Availability
If my caseload is full, then my Psychologytoday profile will indicate that I am not accepting new clients. I will always try to keep that up to date. You can view that profile here: https://tinyurl.com/mw2p2m3b
Insurance and Fees
I accept VT Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield and MVP Health. For folks who do not have those insurances, I offer a sliding scale from $100-$150 per 55 minute session for individual counseling. With couples I do 80 minute sessions on a sliding scale from $200-265. Fee for KAP sessions is $500 per 4 hour session. Insurance will not cover this fee at present.
Populations I Work With
I offer individual counseling only at this time, no couples or family counseling. I work with adults, 18 years and older. My practice is BIPOC and queer friendly. Hablo español con fluidez. Los hispanohablantes son siempre muy bienvenidos.
I identify as a straight, white, cis-male.
Mental Health Conditions
My areas of interest: trauma, anxiety, grief, psychedelic integration
Other conditions I commonly work with: depression, interpersonal communication and boundaries
Conditions I cannot work with because they require a different level of care than I can offer in private practice: active addictions, personality disorders, schizophrenia, active suicidal ideation
Sessions
I do sessions at my office in Montpelier. I only accept clients for ongoing in-person work. I do occasionally schedule remote sessions when people are sick or not able to come in person, but my practice is primarily in-person.
My Qualifications
I hold a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Antioch University. I will be under supervision by Kathleen Landry, LCMHC from 2022-2024 while I am accruing my post-graduate supervised hours in order to qualify for licensure. I enjoyed serving the Central Vermont community over the course of 2022 in my internship as a behavioral health counselor at Central Vermont Medical Center.

How I Structure Counseling
The first step is for you to email me to inquire about availability. If I have a time slot available that works for your schedule then the next step is a 20 minute phone screening to get a sense of what you are looking for help with. If we seem like a good fit for each other then we will sort out insurance or cash payment, get your intake paperwork completed, and then schedule an intake session. This is an extended session where I focus on gathering in depth background information and completing assessments. Sessions 1-4 are generally where we are getting to know each other and I am formulating my initial diagnosis. Around session 4 or 5 we will discuss diagnosis and treatment planning. This is a collaborative process. After this point we are following our treatment plan and working to meet your goals. We will continually revisit your goals and discuss how you will know you have reached them and what finishing our work together will look like.
